Volunteer Guidelines


Thank you for volunteering during this time!

MPORTANT -- To volunteer during COVID:

 

1. Masks must be worn at all times at the shelter.

 

2. A distance of six feet must be maintained for volunteers and staff.

 

We must follow the state requirements to stay safe. Thank you for bearing with us during this time.

General Volunteering Tips/Precautions 

While carrying an illness home from the shelter is unlikely, after visiting the shelter it is always wise to:

 

* Keep a separate coat and set of shoes for volunteering.

 

* Change your clothes when you arrive home before interacting with your animals.

Volunteer Hours 

 
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday:

9 to 11:30 am.

Nap time 11:30 to 1 p.m., no volunteering.

1 to 4 p.m. (Nap time* 11:30 - 1)

Tuesday

9 to 11:30 a.m.

Nap time 11:30 to 1 p.m., no volunteering.

Walk our dogs or visit the kitties Tuesdays until 6:30 p.m.! Afternoon volunteering begins at 1 p.m.

Saturday:

8:30 to 11 a.m.

Nap time 11 a.m. to noon, no volunteering.

Noon to 3 p.m.

Sunday:

8 to 10:30 a.m.

(Shelter closed after 10 a.m.)
