Apply to be a Volunteer and Help Animals in Need!

By volunteering you will make a direct impact on the lives of animals and your community. Engage with us today and see the difference one person can truly make.

Volunteer Opportunities

  • ​Walk, groom and spend time with the shelter's dogs.
     

  • Spend time with the cats, clean their litter box.
     

  • Become a foster home dogs & puppies, cats & kittens
    ​

  • Volunteer with our Pittsburgh Mills PetSmart cats & kittens.
     

  • Video our animals to add to pets’ Adopt A Pet site.
     

  • Offsite events (fund raisers, pet adoption days).
     

  • General maintenance.
     

  • Follow-up calls for adopted animals.
     

  • Prepare newspapers for cage use (may be done offsite).
     

  • Plus more!

All volunteers must go through training before they can begin. Those needing volunteer hours for community service should mention this when contacting.

Volunteers must be 16 years old. Those younger than 18 must always volunteer with a trained adult.
